The Euro Plant Tray eG (EPT) is an association of more than 30 European retailers, wholesalers, producers, and industry associations from the horticultural sector. In 2022, they set the goal of developing a new European standard for a reusable tray, along with the necessary pooling services, to drastically reduce single-use plastic waste within the green supply chain.
To manage daily operations, as well as supplier and customer relations, the Euro Plant Tray GmbH was established in 2023 as a subsidiary of EPT eG. Since 2024, the first models of the EPT tray have been on the market, actively contributing to the reduction of plastic waste in the industry.
