Federal Cartel Office approves Euro Plant Tray

On 8 May 2024, the German Federal Cartel Office concludes its review of the Euro Plant Tray Cooperative with a positive report

PPWR approved

On Wednesday April 24 2024 the EU Parliament approved the PPWR with large majority. Rules of the Packaging And Packaging Waste Regulation will come into force January 1st 2030.

Market launch

You can now order EPT 400 Trays for delivery as of summer 2024. Get ready to maximize your waste reduction!

Final setup

The members of Euro Plant Tray eG evaluate the test results and decide to introduce two EPT 400 models as of early summer 2024.

Field test

The test trays are evaluated in 5 supply chains from producer to wholesaler to final sale. Through a roadshow, additional input is collected, especially from horticultural production and automation providers, in order to develop a future-proof product.

Launch of the EPT System Test Trays

At the IPM in Essen from 24-27 January, Euro Plant Tray eG presents the newly developed trays to the trade public for the first time. Come and meet us in Essen.

Rental systems & pool management

The partners decide on the rental systems desired in the future and the services expected by the market participants. Talks with possible pool operators begin.

Selection of the test trays

The partners decide on 2 tray models to be tested in spring 2023. In close exchange between users and tray producers, the models have been optimised before the start of test series production.

Foundation of Euro Plant Tray eG

On 23.8.2022, the wholesale organisations BGI and VGB, the wholesalers FleuraMetz/FM Group, mvb plants worldwide Marktverband Bremen GmbH and Sagaflor, as well as the DIY chains OBI, BAUHAUS and Hornbach found Euro Plant Tray eG in Cologne.
