Euro Plant Tray Services

Euro Plant Trays are used throughout Europe, from plant producers to wholesalers and auctions to the retailers, making an important contribution to reducing single-use plastic. Senders and receivers exchange 1 to 1 on delivery or maintain balances that are settled at a later date.

New rental units are issued via a neutral pool operator with locations throughout Europe. Additional services such as transport, cleaning and supply chain-specific pool management are offered via the pool operator.

First EPT deliveries as off summer 2024 will mainly commence from EPT production locations, please contact us about current depot location, stock availability and services.

Exchange of broken Euro Plant Trays

Lessees of Euro Plant Trays can exchange broken units against working material free of charge at our depot locations. A Euro Plant Tray is considered defective under the following conditions:

  • The tray itself is broken into at least 2 parts, whereby the returned parts must represent significantly more than half of the tray
  • Cracks and fractures in the edges that can lead to injuries
  • Damage to the pot-bearing parts that endanger safe transport and water retention
  • Damage to the RFID tag
  • Damage to the labels so that the QR and/or EAN code can no longer be scanned

Please note that exchanges can only be made after prior notification.

Cleaning of EPTs

Our pooling partner offers cleaning according to existing standards of the food industry at different depot locations. No waiting times have to be endured: dirty units will be directly exchanged 1 to 1 with clean trays. Invoicing for this service will take place between the poolmanager and the client. It is essential to book this service in advance.
